Patna: The 22nd Junior National Wushu Championship 2023 will be held at Patliputra Sports Complex here from August 6 to August 11. The championship will be formally inaugurated on August 7 at 6.30 pm by the Bihar Art, Culture and Youth Department Minister Jitendra Kumar Rai.
Giving this information, Director General cum Chief Executive Officer of Bihar State Sports Authority Raveendran Sankaran said that more than 1200 players are coming from all over the country to participate in this Junior National Wushu Championship. This championships is being held in both boys and girls categories. It is really a matter of great pleasure and pride for Bihar to organize such a national championship, he said.
Sankaran said that the championship is being organised under the joint aegis of Bihar State Sports Authority and Bihar Wushu Association at the indoor stadium of Pataliputra Sports Complex.
Bihar State Sports Authority’s Director cum Secretary Pankaj Raj said that all arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the championship.
Expressing happiness over the 22nd Junior National Wushu Championship 2023 being organized in Bihar, Bihar’s Art, Culture and Youth Department Minister Jitendra Kumar Rai and Additional Chief Secretary Mrs Harjot Kaur Bamhra extended their best wishes for the success of the event and assured that the government will make all possible efforts and cooperation for the successful organization of this championship.
