Srihari of Chennai wins Sanjeevani Online Open Chess title

Patna, August 2: Srihari LR of Chennai emerged the winner with 77 points in the July edition of Sanjeevani Online Open Chess Tournament  organised under the joint aegis of Sanjeevani Vikas Foundation and Patna Chess Academy on July 27, the foundation day of Sanjeevani Vikas Foundation.

Colombian Christian finished second with 50 points while Indian Grandmaster RR Laxman of Tamil Nadu finished third with 48 points. Arnold of Cuba finished fourth with 45 points. Alexander of Russia stood fifth 42 points. Arvind Iyer of Thane was at sixth spot with 37 points. Nupur Anand of Patna bagged the eighth place with 36 points of Patna Bihar. Abhay Sharma of Patna got 35 points to finish ninth. Bhavesh Mahajan of Amritsar bagged the 10th place with 34 points, Ahmedabad Gujarat’s Kartavya Anadkat got 34 points to finish 11th. Naveen Jain of Delhi got 28 points to bag 12 spot.  Sagar Das of Purnia got 28 points to finish 14th place and Raviraj of Patna got 26 points and he was at 15th place. .

In the special awards announced for under-10 age group, Shreyansh Jain of Faridabad got 24 points, Ishan Barua of Dibrugarh got 22 points and Narendra Agarwal of Kolkata got 16 points to emerge first, second and third respectively.

In under-15 age group, Telangana’s Jai Nath collected 31 points to emerge top while the second place was bagged by Vaibhav Nema of Narsinghpur with 25 points. The third place went to Patna’s Aditya Anand with 23 points.
