Patna: SPS CCC and School of Cricket registered victories in their respective matches on Monday, 16 December, in the ongoing Baidyanath Prasad Memorial Under-13 Cricket Tournament at the Cricket Academy of Bihar (CAB) ground.
First Match
SPS CCC defeated Happy High School by four wickets. Winning the toss, SPS CCC chose to field first. Happy High School managed to score 106 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 24 overs, with Prakash Kumar contributing 18 runs and Krishna Tiwari 17 not out. Animesh from SPS CCC impressed with figures of 3/19, while Vaibhav took 2/3.
In response, SPS CCC chased down the target in just 13.1 overs, scoring 109 runs for six wickets. Alok played a match-winning knock of 59 not out off 48 balls, hitting eight fours and three sixes. Animesh was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
Second Match
School of Cricket edged out Cricket Academy of Bihar Red by two runs in a thrilling encounter. Batting first, School of Cricket posted 151 runs for one wicket in 22 overs, with Abhinav Sinha top-scoring with 69 runs.
In reply, Cricket Academy of Bihar Red came close but fell short, being all out for 149 runs in 22 overs. Aryan Raj scored a valiant 56 runs. Abhinav Sinha was awarded Player of the Match for his outstanding contribution with both bat and ball.
