Patna: The Annual General Meeting of the Softball Association of Bihar was held on August 15 at Hotel Pind Baluchi Biscoman Bhawan, Gandhi Maidan, Patna. The upcoming state championship was discussed in the AGM, which was chaired by the president of the association, Gautam Kanodia.
All the responsibility of its successful conduct of the tournaments was given to Joint Secretary Rupak Kumar. On the other hand, the bank account of the association was unanimously approved by the members of the committee.
On the occasion, 21 districts associations of Bihar were given recognition certificates. Prachi Sharma, General Secretary of Softball Association of Bihar, reiterated the need to prepare a roadmap to speed up the development of softball in the state. Organising tournaments from school to district level, training of players and many other issues were thoroughly discussed in the meeting.
Emphasis was laid on promoting softball in schools and colleges. On this occasion, the new website of the association was launched. During the meeting, the financial account of the session was presented by Treasurer Pawan Kumar Pappu.
Vice President Sanjay Kumar, Chief Patron Ajay Narayan Sharma, Patron Jagannath Singh, representatives of Patna, Vaishali, Saran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Buxar, Bhojpur, Jehanabad Begusarai, Khagaria, Munger, Katihar, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Sitamarhi, Rohtas, Nalanda districts attended the meeting. Joint Secretary Rupak Kumar welcomed the guests while former Secretary Madhu Sharma proposed a vote of thanks.
