Patna: In the boys’ category of the 30th Bihar State Sub Junior Ball Badminton Championship, held at Radhakrishna Mandir, Gulabbag, Barh (Patna), under the aegis of the Bihar Ball Badminton Association and organised by the Barh Ball Badminton Association, several exciting league matches were played. Siwan secured a victory against Patna with scores of 35-22 and 35-26, while Kilkari triumphed over Saharsa with 35-8 and 35-15. Bhagalpur defeated Naugachia 35-22, 35-18, and Begusarai overwhelmed Barh 35-9, 35-12. In other matches, Saran won against East Champaran 35-22, 35-23, and Kilkari overpowered Supaul with scores of 35-10 and 35-5. Vaishali also showed their prowess by defeating Naugachhia 35-17, 35-15, while Saharsa fell to Supaul 35-19, 35-15. Vaishali claimed another win against Bhagalpur, edging them out 38-36, 35-30, and Patna beat Darbhanga with a commanding 35-16, 35-17.
In the girls’ category, Vaishali narrowly defeated Bhagalpur 35-32, 35-28, and Siwan won against Darbhanga 35-22, 35-17. Kilkari continued their strong performance, beating Madhubani 35-14, 35-11, while Begusarai overcame Patna. Supaul defeated Naugachia 35-24, 35-18, and Barh secured a comfortable win against East Champaran with scores of 35-8, 35-10. Kilkari outplayed Darbhanga 35-5, 35-9, and Begusarai took down Supaul 35-12, 35-15. Naugachia defeated Patna 35-17, 35-21, and Saran overpowered Barh 35-10, 35-13.
Earlier, on the second day of the tournament, the games were inaugurated by the organising committee chairman, Karnaveer Singh Yadav (alias Lallu Mukhiya), and the Bihar Ball Badminton Association secretary, Gouri Shankar, who introduced themselves to the players.
