Siwan and Rest of Western Zone get three points in drawn matches  

Patna: In the BCA Super League, Kaimur vs Rest of Western Zone match at the Moinul Haq Stadium in Patna and the Siwan vs Rest of Western Zone match in Purnia ended in a draw

In Patna, Rest of Western Zone scored 252 runs in their first innings losing all wickets in 78.5 overs. In the second innings, Rest of Western Zone scored 244 runs losing all wickets in 56.5 overs. Kaimur scored 201 runs in his first innings losing all wickets in 59.1 overs.

Kaimur got a target of 295 runs to win. In reply, Kaimur scored 272 runs for 8 wickets in 68 overs till the end of the third and final day’s play.  Shashank scored 58 and Wasim scored 83 runs.

At the Green Valley ground in Gulab Bagh, Siwan scored 315 runs in the first innings, while the Rest of Patliputra scored 223 runs in the first innings.

Siwan scored 326 runs in the second innings, losing all wickets. Tariq Jameel and Mohammad Kaifi Shamsheer scored half-centuries. Tariq Jameel contributed 80 runs, Mohammad Kaifi Shamsheer made 51 runs. Other contributors were Abul Farah 39 runs, Shabbir Khan 27 runs, Sonu Kumar Gupta 25 runs and Manish Giri 21 runs for Siwan. Prakash Babu got 4 wickets, Prashant Singh got three wickets and Aditya Anand got two wickets.

At the end of the last day’s play, Rest of Patliputra scored only 43 runs in the second innings losing 4 wickets though the match ended in a draw. For Rest of Patliputra, Prakash Babu contributed 16 runs. Ashraf Khan took 2 wickets for 8 runs in 2 overs for Siwan. Siwan’s Tariq Jameel was adjudged player of the match.
