Patna: The Siphai Bhagat Sports Awards Function, set to be held on September 3 in celebration of Sports Day, will honour distinguished sports personalities, coaches, and players. The event will take place at Open Mind A Birla School, Danapur, under the auspices of the Siphai Bhagat Sports Foundation. Aman Kumar, COO of Open Mind A Birla School, Danapur, announced that senior cricket coach Devki Nandan Das will receive the prestigious Siphai Bhagat Khel Ratna Award. In addition to this, various officials and coaches from different sports associations will also be honoured.
School Principal Paljinder Pal Singh highlighted that the Siphai Bhagat Sports Foundation has consistently been at the forefront of social initiatives. Over the past years, the foundation has successfully organised numerous sports events. He added that at their school, students are encouraged to excel not only in academics but also in activities such as sports and the arts. The list of awardees has been meticulously prepared under the supervision of Santosh Tiwari, the founder of the Sardar Patel Sports Foundation, who will also oversee the event.
