Patna: Sipahi Bhagat Memorial Inter School Kabaddi Tournament, sponsored by Open Minds A Birla School, Danapur, under the aegis of Sipahi Bhagat Foundation, got off to colourful start here on Thursday.
The tournament was inaugurated jointly by Aman Kumar, Director, Open Minds A Birla School, Danapur, Vijay Anandan, Zonal Head Marketing, Birla Edutech, Shovika Yadav, Principal, Open Minds A Birla School, Danapur, Paljinder Paul Singh, Vice Principal of the school.
Shemford Futuristic School, Christ Church, Indirapuram and Open Minds B teams have advanced to the semi-finals of the girls’ section after winning their matches.
In the boys’ section, Tribhuvan, St Karen’s School, Open Minds B and Patna Doon School moved into the semi-finals. The semi-finals, final and the third place match will be played on November 18.

Boys’ category: Tribhuvan beat DPS 47-9, Shriram beat Edify School 31-27, St Karen’s beat Litera Valley 51-10, Tribhuvan beat Christ Church 35-16, Open Minds beat Shriram 50-12, Patna Doon beat DPS World 39-17, St. Karen’s beat Open Minds A 37-11. Patna Doon got a walkover against St Mary’s.
Girls section: Shemford beat Shriram 35-15, Christ Church beat Tribhuvan 31-13, St Mary’s beat Edify School 23-18, Shemford beat Ishan Girls 29-28, Open Minds B beat St Mary’s 46-8, Christ Church beat Open Minds A 57-22, Indirapuram beat Litera Valley 50-24. Indirapuram got a walkover against St Karen’s.
