Patna: Nanhak Mahto Memorial Under-15 School Cricket Tournament got off to a grand start on Wednesday at the Krishna Cricket Ground. Shriram Khel Maidan and 22 Yard Cricket Club won their respective matches on Wednesday. Shriram Khel Maidan defeated SKP by 3 wickets while 22 Yard Cricket Club defeated CCC by 25 runs.
This tournament, sponsored by Casa Picolla Restaurant, was inaugurated by Patna Municipal Corporation Deputy Mayor Reshmi Chandravanshi, Patna Municipal Corporation Empowered Committee member Indradeep Chandravanshi, LJP National Spokesperson Shravan Agrawal and social worker Pratima Devi. Neeraj Kumar welcomed the guests by presenting shawls and mementos. Santosh Tiwari, founder of the Sardar Patel Sports Foundation, proposed a vote of thanks.
Shriram Khel Maidan won the toss and invited SKP to bat. Batting first, SKP scored 175 runs for 5 wickets in the stipulated 25 overs. Vikas Thakur scored 55 runs and Deep Yadav scored 49 runs.
In reply, Shriram Khel Maidan scored 176 runs for 7 wickets in 24.2 overs and won the match. Sachin scored 54 runs. He also took 3 wickets for SKP.
In the second match, 22 Yard Cricket Club won the toss and batting first scored 131 runs in 18.2 overs losing all wickets. Prabhat scored 39 runs. Sahil took 3 and Sparsh took 4 wickets.
In reply, CCC were all out for 106 runs in 15.2 overs. Rajiv Ranjan scored 51 runs. Aarush Rajveer took 4 wickets while Hrithik Giri took 3 wickets. Aarush Rajveer was given the Player of the Match award.
