Patna: Shriram Cricket Academy, Ashok Singh Cricket Academy, Lohia Nagar Mount Carmel High School and Gyansthali High School, Alamganj entered the semifinals, winning their respective matches in the Justice PN Singh Memorial Cricket Tournament being played at Sanjay Gandhi Stadium on Wednesday.
In the first match played, Shri Ram Cricket Academy defeated Young Boys Cricket Academy by 6 wickets. Playing first, Young Boys scored 59 runs losing 6 wickets in 12 overs. In reply, Sriram achieved the target by scoring 60 runs in 10 overs.
In the second match, Ashok Singh CA made 104 runs. In reply, Prabha Cricket Academy scored only 99 runs for 5 wickets.
In the third match, Lohia Nagar Mount Carmel High School defeated YCC, Jaganpur by 4 wickets. Playing first, Lohia Nagar scored 80 runs for 6 wickets in 10.2 overs. In reply, the YCC scored 78 runs for 8 wickets. In the fourth match, Gyansthali High School, Alamganj defeated Gyansthali High School, Bairia by 25 runs. Batting first, Gyansthali Alamganj scored 90 runs losing 9 wickets in 12 overs. In reply,  Bairia’s team managed to score  65 runs for 7 wickets in the stipulated over.
Vivek Kumar, Aditya Bhushan, Abhishek Kumar Patel and Aditya Kumar Singh were adjudged man of the match in their respective matches.
Earlier, Bihar Industries Minister Samir Kumar Mahaseth and Meenu Singh, Director of the LMC Group of Schools, jointly inaugurated the tournament. Lohia Nagar Mount Carmel Principal Shalini Singh, LMC Administrator Sandeep Kumar Singh, Sports Head Rupak Kumar, Sports Teacher Anju Kumari, Vikas Kumar Gupta, Siddharth Kumar were present on this occasion.
