Ranchi: Bhagwan Birsa Munda Ranchi District Taekwondo Championship 2023 concluded on Saturday on the premises of Ranchi Press Club. The championship was organised jointly by Ranchi District Taekwondo Association and The Ranchi Press Club Taekwondo Centre.
Dharmendra Kumar of Kendriya Vidyalaya was the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony. The Press Club Ranchi treasurer Sushil Singh Mantu, executive members Manik Bose, Kislay Sanu, Pankaj Jain and sports journalist Diwakar Singh were present on the occasion.
Sarala Birla Public School, Sharda Global School, Oxford School, Delhi Public School, Kairali Public School, DAV Bariatu, Kaizen Taekwondo Academy, The Ranchi Press Club Training Centre, Bedo Taekwondo Club, Dhurwa No. 1 Taekwondo Club and Bariatu Taekwondo Club participated in the championship.
Sharda Global School Bukru won overall championship title scoring 195 ponits, followed by Sarla Birla Public School with 188 points and Oxford School with 170 points. The senior category title went to Bedo Taekwondo Club while the junior category title was won by Dhurva Number 1 Taekwondo Club. The Ranchi Press Club Taekwondo Centre bagged the third position.
Anantnag Chandan and Mudassar anchored the prize-distribution function. District association General Secretary Mithilesh Kumar Singh welcomed the guests, parents, players and coaches. Chief guest Dharmendra Kumar while addressing all the players said that all the players should start preparing for the upcoming state, national tournaments and National Games in Goa and bring laurels to Ranchi by winning medals.

Silver medal winners: Sayona Singh, Harshita Singh, Sakshi Shree, Shripan Chatterjee, Nishu Kumari, Usha Rani Toppo, Mihika Yadav, Anmol Kumar, Harsh Pancham, Vedant Kumar.
Bronze medal winners: Neeraj Lakra, Aijah Falak, Yug, Reema, Neha Kumari, Aditya Chowdhary, Divyanshu Raj, Siddhant, Ravish Jaiswal, Dhyani Jha.
Neha Singh, Anuj Oraon, Rahul Singh, Priyal Kumari, Raj Aryan, Mithilesh Yadav, Imtiaz were the judges.
