Patna: In a thrilling match at the 14th Hockey India Junior National Men’s Hockey Championship 2024, the Bihar junior men’s hockey team secured a 3-1 victory over Telangana, driven by a sensational hat-trick from Shanu Lama. Telangana took the lead in the 25th minute of the second quarter and held a 1-0 advantage until half-time. However, Bihar responded strongly in the second half, with Lama scoring three successive goals in the 43rd, 47th, and 57th minutes, turning the game in Bihar’s favour with a 3-1 scoreline.
Shanu Lama was named Man of the Match for his stellar performance.
