Ludhiana, July 25: The industrialists of textile hub Ludhiana expressed keen interest towards Textile and Leather policy of Bihar. The conducive environment for industry is also attracting the industrialists of Punjab to invest in Bihar. Bihar Investors Meet was held in Ludhiana on Monday in which textile companies of Ludhiana, especially manufacturers of hosiery, yarn, winter clothes and industrialists from FMCG, Auto and other sectors participated in the event.
The representative of some of the prominent textile companies to participate in the event include Kamal Oswal, chairman, Nahar Group; Anup Vector, CMD, Cremica; Sanjeev Garg, CMD, Garg Acrylics Group; Gagan Khanna, CMD, Arisudana; Deepak Kalra and Sanjeev Kalra of Deepak Fastners and Gautam Munjal, CMD, Satyam Auto Industries.

Apart from the textile companies, more than 30 companies across various sectors including FMCG, Auto Components among others participated in the event. These include Vardhman Group, ST Cottex, Nahar group, Sportking, Saluja Enterprises, Arisudhana group, Garg Acrylics, Longowalia spinning and others.
Other companies to participate in this investor meet include TRB Group, Happy Forgings, Hero Group, Satyam Auto Components, Avon Cycles, Aarti Steel, Raj Soap Industries, Cremica Group, IOL Chemical etc.
The industrialists gathered in the Bihar Investor Meet held in Ludhiana were addressed by Bihar industries minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain and the principal secretary, Industries department, government of Bihar, Sandeep Poundrick who also gave a detailed presentation on the prospects of the industry in different sectors in Bihar.
Addressing to the industrialists, Hussain said that the people of Bihar have made and are making the industry successful all over the country with their hard work. Even the industrialists of Punjab are well aware that the labourers of Bihar forms strength of Bihar. He further said that along with the textile sector, our policy is also excellent for every kind of industries. Hussain requested to open an expansion base of their industry in Bihar so that your access to the big market of Northeast India becomes easy.
Sandeep Pondrick appealed to the industrialists and investors of Punjab to invest in Bihar and said that our department is committed to the industrialization of the state, and we are constantly striving to improve the environment of the industry in the state. He also said that all possible incentive that we have promised will be given on time.
Many industrialists appreciated the textile policy of Bihar and talked seriously about considering the possibilities of investment in Bihar.
