Patna: The Shailendra Kumar Memorial Under-15 Inter-School Cricket Tournament will commence in Patna on March 2, honoring the legacy of senior sports journalist Shailendra Kumar. Organized under the banner of the Sardar Patel Sports Foundation, the tournament aims to promote young cricketing talent. Santosh Tiwari, the founder of the foundation, shared details about the event.
A total of 24 teams will compete in the tournament, with all matches following a knockout format and consisting of 30 overs per side. The winning and runner-up teams will be awarded attractive prizes, including trophies. Additionally, individual accolades such as Man of the Match, Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Best Wicketkeeper, and Man of the Tournament will be presented.
