Patna: The Kho-Kho Association of Bihar is set to hold selection trials for the Bihar Sub Junior and Junior Women Kho-Kho teams on September 22 at the Maharishi Vishwamitra Mahavidyalaya campus in Buxar. These trials will determine the players who will represent Bihar in the Asmita Khelo India Junior and Sub Junior Women Kho-Kho League (East and North East), hosted by the West Bengal Kho-Kho Association under the aegis of the Union Sports Ministry, Sports Authority of India, and the Indian Kho-Kho Federation.
Neeraj Kumar Pappu, General Secretary of the Kho-Kho Association of Bihar, shared that students from both government and private schools and colleges across the state are eligible to participate. Players must bring their original Aadhaar card and a photocopy, their birth certificate and a photocopy, along with two passport-sized photographs. Only players registered with the Kho-Kho Federation of India will be allowed to participate.
Arvind Singh, Secretary of the Buxar Kho-Kho Association, has been appointed as the in-charge for overseeing the smooth conduct of the trials. Under his leadership, all necessary preparations are being made, including the arrangement of food for all participants.
Singh emphasised that the responsibility given to them by the Kho-Kho Association of Bihar will be carried out diligently, ensuring the players’ comfort and well-being during the trials.
The Asmita Khelo India Junior and Sub Junior Women’s Kho-Kho League (East and North East) will take place in Haldia from 27 to 29 September.
