School of Cricket and CMS Academy Shine in Under-14 Cricket Tournament

Patna: The School of Cricket and CMS Academy secured victories in their respective matches on Friday during the Chandramani Prasad Singh Memorial Under-14 Cricket Tournament at the Bihar Cricket Academy Ground.

In the first match, the School of Cricket triumphed over CMS Academy by 70 runs. Winning the toss, the School of Cricket opted to bat first and posted a formidable total of 212 runs, losing all wickets in 21 overs. Syed Talha Ahmed played a brilliant knock of 94 runs, while Raunak Kumar contributed 46 runs. Krishna from CMS Academy claimed two wickets.

In response, CMS Academy were bowled out for 142 runs in 22.2 overs. Tapish scored 32 runs for CMS, but the bowling brilliance of Raunak, who took 3 wickets for 14 runs, and Ayush Kumar, with 3 wickets for 26 runs, sealed the win for the School of Cricket. Syed Talha Ahmed was named Player of the Match for his stellar performance.

In the second match, CMS Academy edged past Cambridge Cricket Academy by 3 wickets. Cambridge won the toss and chose to bat, scoring 123 runs for 9 wickets in 25 overs. Raja top-scored with 38 runs, while Pushkar and Ajeet Raj added 19 and 30 runs, respectively. Krishna and Sagar from CMS took two wickets each, while Prashant chipped in with one.

Chasing 124 runs, CMS Academy reached the target in 21.1 overs, scoring 124 for 7 wickets. Krishna anchored the innings with an impressive 67 runs, supported by Sagar and Dharamveer, who scored 13 runs each. Nihal from Cambridge Cricket Academy bowled superbly, taking 4 wickets for 16 runs.

Former cricketer Vijay Bharti presented the Player of the Match award to Krishna for his match-winning innings.
