Sardar Patel Award Function Will be Held on May 1 in Patna

Patna: Under the joint aegis of Turning Point and the Gramin Educational and Social Welfare Trust, individuals who have made special contributions to the development of education, art, sports, journalism, and other areas of society will be honoured at the Sardar Patel Award Function, to be held on May 1 at Premchand Rangshala in Rajendra Nagar. This information was given by Turning Point Managing Director Vijay Sharma. He said that during this programme, the winner and runner-up teams of the Casa Picolla School Cricket League Season 5 will receive their trophies and prizes.

He said that preparations for the ceremony have begun under the supervision of Santosh Tiwari, founder of the Sardar Patel Sports Foundation.

Sharma further said that at this award function, individuals who have dedicated their lives to sports, emerging players, and those contributing to the development of other areas of society — including education, health, business, and public service — will be honoured. Ward councillors of Patna Municipal Corporation and members of the empowered committee will also be honoured.

He mentioned that Turning Point has been organising such programmes for the past four years, and this year’s event will be even more grand. On this occasion, cultural performances will be presented by school students and other artists. The list of dignitaries to be honoured will be released soon.
