All the winners and runners up of Bihar State Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament in Araria

Araria: Saloni Kumari of Purnia and Amrit Raj of Muzaffarpur clinched a grand double in the Consam Li Ning Bihar State Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament at Indoor Stadium in Araria on Saturday. The tournament was held under the aegis of Bihar Badminton Association and hosted by Araria District Badminton Association.

The finals of all sections of this tournament were played today.  This started with the girls’ singles match in which Saloni Kumari of Purnia defeated Srija of Patna 22-13, 21-7 to claim the title for the third time in a row.

In the boys’ singles final, Amrit Raj defended his title by defeating Garv Sharda of Purnia 21-12, 17-21, 21-19. In the girls’ doubles also the previous winners of this category Sara Kausar and Saloni Kumari of Patna defeated Fiza Hassan of Kaimur and Sanvi Anand of Bhagalpur 21-16, 21-12 to clinch the title.

In the boys’ doubles match, the pair of Tanveer Ahmed and Amrit Raj of Muzaffarpur defeated the pair of Garv Sharda of Purnia and Raj Aryan of Nawada to clinch the title. In the mixed doubles final, Rishab Raj of Samastipur and Zainab Nazir of Patna defeated the pair of Piyush Kumar Babul of Purnia and Shivangi Kumari of Khagaria 21-15, 22-20 to emerge champions.

Samar Goyal, chairman, Consam Group of Industries, main sponsor of the tournament, Pinky Goyal, sales director of the company gave away the prizes.  KN Jaiswal, general secretary of Bihar Badminton Association, Khurshid Khan, chairman of organizing committee, executive chairman of Araria District Badminton Association, Mohd. Kaziff Raza, secretary Adarsh ​​Kant, Members Abhishek Ranjan, Shubham Kumar, Rahul Singh, Prasannajit Sen Gupta, Umar Farooq, Rishab Jaiswal, Prakhar Pathak were present on the occasion. Hrithik Raj, Shamima Khatoon, Raj Nandini, Priya Ranjan, Maz Alam played the role of line judge in the tournament while  the chief referee was Ajay Kumar of Lucknow. The umpires were Trishna Kumar of Katihar, Sushant Ranjan of Patna, Rupesh Kumar and Raju Kumar of Bhagalpur, Arjun Sah and Gautam Kumar of Madhubani.
