Lakhisarai: After the completion of the eighth round of Bihar State Senior Chess Championship organized by Lakhisarai District Chess Association at Nagar Bhawan, Lakhisarai under the aegis of All Bihar Chess Association, Ryan Mohammad is alone at the top with eight points.

Playing with black pieces on board number one today, Ryan defeated Rahul of Patna and maintained his lead in the competition with 100 percent points. At the same time, on board number two and three respectively, Maryam Fatima of Muzaffarpur defeated Piyush of Patna and Tabashir Alam of Patna defeated Ashutosh of Patna and jointly occupied the second position with 6.5 points.

The five players who are at the third position with six points have also maintained their claim for a place in the team. Despite losing to Ryan on the first board, Rahul of Patna was jointly at third position with six points.
