RoundGlass Punjab aiming to remain on top of the table

Panchkula: RoundGlass Punjab FC (RGPFC) will aim to remain on top of the table when they take on Real Kashmir FC in a Round 14 fixture of the Hero I-League 2022–23 season which will be played tomorrow (27.01.2023) here at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium. The match is scheduled to kick-off at 4:30 PM.

RGPFC are currently unbeaten at home and will be aiming to continue their fine run of form at home. A win will ensure RGPFC remains on top of the table. Real Kashmir are currently placed fourth on the table. They had drawn their previous match against Churchill Brothers at Goa.

“We will have to keep the positives from the previous match and improve upon certain aspects discussed with the team and secure the three points at home. If we want to remain unbeaten at home, we will have to fight for it and not depend on previous results”, said RGPFC Head Coach Staikos Vergetis during the pre-match press conference.

RGPFC attack line has been in good form throughout the season. Luka Majcen is currently the second top scorer in the league with 8 goals. RGPFC has also been good in defence and have the second best record in the league by conceding just 10 goals.

RGPFC forward Chencho Gyeltshen said during the pre – match press conference said, “We had a very good match in the last round and winning is always important to boost the morale of the team. We are expecting a tough match tomorrow and we hope to secure all three points from the game”.

RoundGlass Punjab FC had beaten Real Kashmir FC in the reverse leg 1-0 at Srinagar last year with Pranjal Bhumij scoring the winning goal. RGPFC is currently first on the table with 26 points from 12 matches while Real Kashmir FC is fourth in the table with 19 points from 13 matches.
