Patna: Rohtas boys win football gold in the Patna division level Tarang Talent Sports Festival at Pataliputra Sports Complex here on Saturday. However, in girls’ category, Kamiur won football title. Patna claimed the kho-kho gold in boys category.
The winners of the various games held today were awarded with medals and trophies by additional director general of police (ADGP) R Mallar Viji and director-cum-secretary of Bihar State Sports Authority Pankaj Kumar Raj. Patna district sports officer Om Prakash was present on the occasion.
Rohtas got the distinction of being the winner by defeating Buxar by 2-0 in the final football match held on the last day of the competition. Sarfaraz Ali scored two goals for Rohtas. In the girls’ football final match, Kaimur defeated Rohtas 1-0. Sunaina Kumari scored the lone goal for Kaimur.
On the last day of the festival, Patna defeated Nalanda 15-13 in the final of Kho-Kho boys’ category.
