Rohit guides Nawada to victory in Randhir Verma Under-19 Cricket Tournament

Bihar Sharif: Nawada defeated Jeanhabad by four wickets in the Randhir Verma Under-19 Cricket Tournament Magadh Zone match organized in Nalanda under the auspices of Bihar Cricket Association.

Jehanabad team won the toss and batted first, with the help of Dheeraj’s 47 runs, Nishant’s 24 runs and Piyush’s 42 runs, they scored 185 runs after losing all 10 wickets in 30 overs. Nawada bowlers Adarsh and Anurag dismissed two players each while Jitendra, Hrithik and Arnav dismissed one player each.

Chasing the target of 185 runs, Nawada team won the match by scoring 188 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in 28 overs with the help of vice captain Rohit’s brilliant 75 runs and Subhash’s 39 runs. While bowling for Jehanabad, Kundan dismissed three players while Shambhu-Prince dismissed one player. This was Nawada’s second consecutive win in the two matches.

Rohit was given the match trophy for his brilliant inning of 75 runs.
