Patna, July 31: Rohtas district team emerged overall champion with 120 points in the 88th Bihar State Athletic Championships that concluded at Patliputra Sports Complex here on Sunday. Bhagalpur became runners-up with 98 points.
Rohtas got 47 points in men’s including boys group and 73 from women section including girls. Bhagalpur got 64 points in men’s section including boys and 34 points on women’s section including girls.
Later, Bihar minister for prohibition, excise and registration department Sunil Kumar gave away the prizes. Sports Development Authority pf Bihar (SDABI director general Raveendran Sankaran, Bihar Athletics Association president Salim Parvez and Bihar Athletics Association secretary Liykal Ali were present on the occasion.
The three-day meet was successful held under the supervision of technical director Nirmal Kumar.

Boys Under-14: Jamui (16 points); Boys Under-16: Samastipur (16 points; Boys Under-18: Jehanabad (22 points); Boys U-20: Rohtas (29 points). Men: Bhagalpur (17 points)
