Patna: Rising Star and KNCC won their respective matches in the Patna District Senior Division Cricket League being held under the aegis of Patna District Cricket Association. Rising Star defeated Sharma Sporting by 99 runs while KNCC defeated PAC by 69 runs.
Surya Prakash (127) scored a century for KNCC. On the other hand, PAC’s Kumud Ranjan (52 runs, 4 wickets) displayed an all-round performance.
At 22 Yard Cricket Academy Ground, Sharma Sporting won the toss and invited Rising Star to bat. Batting first, Rising Star scored 248 runs after losing all wickets in 39.5 overs with the help of half-centuries from Aman Raj (80 runs) and Animesh (53 runs). Anees Kumar and Rahul Kumar took three wickets each for Sharma Sporting.
In reply, Sharma Sporting were all out for 149 runs in 33.4 overs. Anees Kumar scored 45 runs. Sunny Samrat took 3 wickets and Gulshan Kumar took 2 wickets for Rising Star. Gulshan Kumar (25 runs, two wickets) was adjudged as the Player of the Match.
At Gennex Cricket Academy, KNCC won the toss and scored 258 runs in 38.2 overs losing all wickets thanks to Surya Prakash’s 127 runs. Anmol Boni played an innings of 51 runs. Kumud Ranj took 4 and Nikhil Pradhan took 3 wickets for PAC.
In reply, PAC scored 189 runs losing all wickets in 34.5 overs. Kumud Ranjan hit half century (52 runs). Kartik Pandey took 3 wickets for KNCC. Surya Prakash was given the Player of the Match award.
