Rhiti Group presents the Uttarakhand Super T20 League

New Delhi: Rhiti Group, one of India’s leading integrated marketing and brand experience companies, today announced that it is presenting and organizing the first ever Uttarakhand Super T20 League (USTL) for the Cricket Association of  Uttarakhand (CAU). The five-day cricket T20 tournament began on September 18, 2022 and the finals are scheduled on September 24, 2022, at the Tanush Cricket Academy in Sherpur, Dehradun.

Speaking on the development, Mr. Arun Pandey, Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), Rhiti Group, said, “Cricket is the heartbeat of the country and great talent for the game exists in every nook and corner of this great land. We are very excited to have been provided this opportunity by the visionary Government of Uttarakhand and the CAU, to not only establish a marquee T20 league in the State, but also help provide a platform for the talent in the region to realise their national and international dreams. We are confident that this league will not only help bring out special talent in the region to the fore, but also produce some India stars very soon.”

The league composes of five teams christened CAU Black, CAU Blue, CAU Orange, CAU Grey and CAU Green and will play each other in a round robin format. The first and fourth teams meet in the first semi-final, while the second and third clash in the second, before the two winners clash in the finals.

CAU Black and Grey won their respective first games over CAU Orange and CAU Green on day one.

Some of the players who are a part of the tournament and have played for the Ranji Trophy are, Dhanraj Sharma, Gaurav Chaudhary, Shivam Khurana, Sunny Rana and Kunal Chandela. The last named one would recall took the legendary Brian Lara’s wicket in a friendly when the West Indian had last come down to the State.

The CAU has made sure that state selectors and members of the board attend the tournament and have said that top players from the tournament will be selected to play for Uttarakhand in Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) tournaments, for example the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament.

Rhiti sports has in the past been involved with various state cricket boards to organize events and camps to recognize and groom players right from the grass-root level.
