In Indian astrology Saturn (Shani) is known as planet for justice. People usually suffer during Shani’s Sade Sati which is the 7+1⁄2 years long period of Shani. This astrological phase is much feared by those in India who believe Indian Astrology. This is a period with many challenges, but also a time of great achievements and recognition. People also suffer during the period of Shani’s Dahiya ( the 2+ ½ years long period of Shani).
Shani Dev states in the 118th chapter of the ‘Brahma Purana’ that those who consistently touch the Peepal tree on my day, which is Saturday, would have all of their tasks completed and will not experience any pain from me.
On Saturday, those who touch the Peepal tree first thing in the morning will not experience planetary agony. On Saturday, chant ‘Om Namah Shivay’ while touching the peepal tree with both hands (according to Brahma Purana). The effect of pain, difficulties and planetary ill effects subside after 108 repetitions of the mantra Om Namah Shivay (Brahma Purana).
Offering water to the root of Peepal tree and lighting a lamp on every Saturday can cure many types of sufferings (Padma Purana).
These remedies also work in the period of Shani’s dasha and Antardasha (astrological phase) according to your birth chart.
