Ranji Trophy: Bihar vs Kerala match ends in draw; Sachin Baby hits century

Patna: The Bihar vs Kerala match under Group B of Ranji Trophy ended in a draw at the local Moinul Haq Stadium. Based on first innings lead, Bihar got total 3 points while Kerala got 1 point. In the four matches played so far, Bihar have drawn 3 and lost 1 and have collected 5 points. Kerala have also lost 1 and drawn 3 in four matches and have five points.

On Monday, the fourth and final day of the game, Kerala started the third day with 62 runs for 2 wickets. The innings was started by Sachin Baby and Akshay Chandran. There was an important partnership of 85 runs between these two. On the fourth day, Bihar got its first success in the form of Akshay Chandran. Raghavendra Pratap broke this pair. Akshay Chandran was out after scoring 38 runs. On one side, Sachin Baby remained steadfast and scored a century.

On the fourth day, the umpire ended the game early considering the draw situation. At the end of the game, Sachin Baby was playing on 109 runs and Shreyas Gopal was playing on 12 runs.

In the second innings, for Bihar, Ashutosh Aman took 2 wickets for 26 runs, Vipul Krishna took 1 wicket for 31 runs and Raghavendra Pratap took 1 wicket for 48 runs.
