Patna: Bihar BJP Sports Cell convenor and secretary of Randhir Verma Foundation Satish Raju and other sports enthusiasts unveiled the Randhir Verma U-17 Cricket Championship trophy here on Wednesday.
The tournament will be held at Sanjay Gandhi Stadium from February 3 to 11 to commemorate the birth anniversary of martyred police officer Randhir Verma of Bihar.
On the occasion of unveiling the trophy, Satish Raju said that Randhir Verma himself was a great cricketer, and that is why we pay tribute to him by organizing games every year on his birth anniversary and sacrifice day.
Mukesh Paswan, Rajeev Ranjan Yadav, Anand Sinha, Sumit Sharma and convenor of the programme Vikas Kumar Singh, Sushil Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar were present on the occasion of unveiling the trophy.
