Patna: Rajvanshi Nagar CC and Rising Star CC have stormed into the semi-finals of the Shivanandan Paswan Memorial Invitation T20 Cricket Tournament with back-to-back victories. In their final league matches, Rajvanshi Nagar CC triumphed over ERCC by 13 runs, while Rising Star CC secured a 36-run win against Adhikari XI.
The tournament, organised by the Shivanandan Paswan Foundation at Moinul Haq Stadium, kicked off with a clash between Rajvanshi Nagar CC and ERCC. ERCC won the toss and opted to field first. Rajvanshi Nagar CC posted a competitive total of 146/4 in 20 overs, powered by Harsh Raj’s unbeaten 53 and Raunit’s 26. In response, ERCC managed only 133/8 in their 20 overs, with Ashish Mishra top-scoring with 48. Shlok Kumar starred for Rajvanshi Nagar CC, claiming 3 wickets for 23 runs and contributing 23 runs with the bat, earning him the Player of the Match award, presented by former Ranji player Manish Ojha.
In the second match, Rising Star CC elected to bat first after winning the toss. They were bowled out for 114 in 19.5 overs, setting Adhikari XI a target of 115. Adhikari XI faltered in their chase, collapsing to 78 all out in 19.4 overs. Gulshan Kumar was the standout performer for Rising Star CC, taking 3 wickets for 13 runs, while Amit Gunjan and Mohammad Rafi chipped in with two wickets each. Gulshan Kumar was named Player of the Match, with the award presented by organising committee member Dhananjay Kumar.
Organising secretary Pankaj Anand announced that the next matches on February 27 will feature PESU vs ERCC and Adhikari XI vs YMCC.
