Patna, August 4: Elections for Bihar Secondary Teachers Association Patna Sadar sub-division passed off peacefully on Wednesday at Government Higher Secondary School, Chirayatand here. Rajesh Kumar, a teacher of BN Collegiate School has been elected president and Dr Arun Dayal, a teacher of Devipad Chaudhary Shaheed Memorial School, Virchand Patel Path, has been elected secretary.
The process of election started from 10 am on Wednesday and went on till 5.30 pm. Out of 143 voters, 124 voters exercised their votes. The panel of president Rajesh Kumar and secretary Dr. Arun Dayal won by a huge margin of votes.
After winning the election, president Rajesh Kumar and secretary Dr. Arun Dayal jointly told that our aim will be to keep the academic environment clean in the schools. Along with coordinating between teachers and parents including students, teachers will have to work for their problems and solutions.
Following are the elected office-bearers:
President – Rajesh Kumar (BN Collegiate School), vice-president – Sanjay Kumar Bhagat (PN Anglo School), secretary – Dr. Arun Dayal (Devipad Chaudhary Shaheed Memorial School) ), joint secretaries – Shailesh Kumar Sinha (High School Chakbariya), Sangeeta Kumari (Sir GD Pataliputra), Praveen Kumar Pankaj (Srichandra Vidyalaya Kurji), Rajeev Ranjan (Sir GD.Pataliputra), Pratima Pandey (Higher Secondary School Phulwarisharif ), treasurer – Md. Marmiya (Srichandra Vidyalaya Kurji). Executive members – Kumar Gauravkant (Srichandra Vidyalaya Kurji), Mukesh Kumar (Srichandra Vidyalaya Kurji), member district evaluation council – Subodh Prasad (High School Chakbariya), Md. Nazar Ashraf ( Srichandra Vidyalaya Kurji).
The election was completed under the supervision of polling officer Datta Kumar and observer Dr. Amaresh Kumar. All the teachers who won the election were congratulated by Shiv Narayan Pal, president of Secondary Physical Teachers Association, general secretary Gauri Shankar, convenor Jaynandan Kumar, teacher Leader Sanjay Kumar, Jitendra Kumar and Sanjeev Poddar.
