Patna: Raj Milk Football Club won the Rameshwar Singh Memorial Football Tournament title defeating Civil Audit 5-4 via tiebreaker at the Sanjay Gandhi Stadium here on Sunday.
The match witnessed a fierce fight between the two teams. For the second consecutive time this month, both the teams were face to face in the final match. Earlier, both had clashed in the final of Patna District Senior Division Football League in which Raj Milk won.
Both the teams remained goalless in regulation and extra time. In the penalty shootout Raj Milk beat Civil Audit 5–4. Samuel Sandeep, Dunkam Simokalam, Roikhibha Montu, Stephen Harry and Sunny Tudu scored goals for Raj Milk while Musharraf Parvez, Ajay Kumar, Rahul Kumar, Akash scored the goals for Civil Audit.
The Best Player award was given to goalkeeper Roshan Kumar of Civil Audit. The referees of the match were Harendra Kumar Yadav, Mohan Kumar, Arun Hansda and Gaurav Raj.
Former Mayor of Patna Shyam Babu Rai, Secretary of Bihar Football Association Syed Imtiaz Hussain, President of Patna Football Association Ramishwar Prasad, Secretary of Patna Football Association Manoj Kumar, Jaibahadur Singh, Patna Football Association’s Gopinath Dutta, Vinod Sinha, Coach Nand Kishore Prasad and Anil Kumar gave away the prizes. Jitendra Kumar Johnny, Gyan Da, Ravi Singh, Ved Nidhi, Arjun Singh and Manoj Kumar welcomed the guests. Virendra Bahadur Singh proposed a vote of thanks.
