Purnia drub Katihar by 9 wickets

Purnia: Purnia defeated Katihar by nine wickets in the ninth match of Seemanchal Zone of the ongoing Randhir Verma Under-19 Cricket Tournament at the local Green Valley, Gulabbagh.

After winning the toss, Katihar captain decided to bat. Katihar lost 10 wickets and scored only 47 runs in 29.1 overs. Katihar’s only batsman Raj Aryan Yadav scored 12 runs on 36 balls. For Purnia, Aamir Masood took 3 wickets for 11 runs, Anuj Madhyan took 3 wickets for 5 runs, Harshit took 2 wickets for 10 runs and Mohd Sajid and Rishi Parashar took 1 wicket each.

Chasing the target, Purnia registered victory by scoring only 48 runs after losing 1 wicket in 11.5 overs. On behalf of Purnia, Priyanshu Bhardwaj contributed unbeaten 21 runs off 29 balls, Mausam Sharma contributed unbeaten 26 runs off 33 balls.
