Patna: Purnia beat Kishanganj by 8 wickets in the BCA Randhir Verma U19 Trophy match in Purnia on Saturday. In the other matches of the day, Siwan beat West Champaran by 58 runs and Banka beat Munger by five wickets.
Kishanganj vs Purnia (Green Valley Purnia)
Purnia won the toss and chose to bowl. Kishanganj batted first and scored 83 runs for 10 wickets in 39.1 overs. Shaurya Ganesh Kumar (13), Aditya Murari Prasad (29) and Monu Bharat Goyal (13) were the notable contributors.
For Purnia, Hamza Md Arfin Arfin took 1 wicket, captain Amir Md Kafeel Ahmed Masood took 2 wickets, Harsh Ayush took 3 wickets and Yuraj Abnish Kumar bagged 3 wickets.
In reply, Purnia scored 50 runs for 2 wickets in 14.4 overs. Rahul Raj Raj scored 29, Ehsan Imran Khan scored 16 and Yuvraj Abnish Kumar scored 25 not out.
For Kishanganj, Kaunain Takseer Reza took 1 wicket and Monu Bharat Goyal took 1 wicket.
Siwan vs West Champaran (VDCA Ground Bidupur, Hajipur)
Siwan won the toss and batting first and scored 256 runs for 9 wickets in 45 overs. Sarfaraz Mehboob Alam scored 60 runs in 55 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes, Abhishek Kumar Arjun scored 10, Ritesh Kumar Bageshwar scored 38, captain Shivmani Kumar Pandit scored 48, Pankaj Kumar Singh scored 36 not out and Sujal Kumar Yadav scored 12 not out.
For West Champaran, Aurangzeb Sheikh Alam took 3 wickets, Ravi Moti Kumar took 1 wicket,captain Yogeshwar Narendra Kumar took 1 wicket, Babul Dharma Kumar took 1 wicket, Syae Mohd Khizar took 1 wicket and Ankit Munna Kharwar took 1 wicket.
In reply, West Champaran were all out after scoring 198 runs in 42.3 overs. Ankit Munna Kharwar scored 51, Rohit Shiv Kumar scored 17, Aditya Dharmendra Jaiswal scored 41, Jeevan Bhagwan Joshi scored 11, Babul Dharma Kumar scored 10 runs.
For Saran, Sujal Kumar took 3 wickets, Aniket Jai Chaudhary bagged 3 wickets, Aditya Ashok Kumar took 1 wicket, Pankaj Kumar Singh tok 1 wicket and captain Shivmani Kumar Pandit took 1 wicket.
Munger vs Banka (Sandish Compound, Bhagalpur)
Banka won the toss and chose to bowl. Munger, batting first scored 229 runs for 10 wickets in 50 overs. Captain Ashraf Uddin Amin scored 28 runs in 129 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes, Anmol Ravi Vishwas scored 10, Arya Amardeep Deep scored 41 and Rajneesh Pradeep Kumar scored 28 runs.
For Banka, Aditya Kumar took 4 wickets, Gaurav Arun Kumar took 2 wickets, Vikrant Kumar took 1 wicket and captain Vineet Chaudhary took 3 wickets.
