Purina Power clinch Bihar Softball Premier League title

Patna: Purnia Power won the first Bihar Softball Premier League title, defeating Patna Panthers 6-2 in a one-sided final at Patliputra Sports Complex on Saturday night. In the girls’ category, Magadh Majestic clinched the trophy, defeating Pataliputra Powers 8-7.

Saket Kumar and Alisha Bharti were adjudged the best players in their respective matches. The Best Batter award went to Sushant Shekhar, Best Fielder award went to Prithvi Raj, the Best Catcher award went to Manish, the Best Pitcher award went to Saket Kumar, and Monu was adjudged the Most Promising Player of the League.

Former Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey gave away the prizes. On this occasion, Sanjay Kumar, deputy director of the Bihar State Art, Culture, and Youth Affair Department, and Patna district sports officer Omprakash were present as special guests.

Softball Association of Bihar joint secretary Rupak Kumar welcomed the guests, while Shailesh Kumar and Shweta Kumari conducted the stage. The general secretary of the association, Prachi Sharma, proposed a vote of thanks.

Softball Association of Bihar chairperson Meenu Singh, chief patron Ajay Narayan Sharma, patron Jagannath Singh, president Gautam Kanodia, vice presidents Pranav Pandey, SN Raju, Rajasekhar, treasurer Pawan Kumar Pappu, LMC principal Shalini Singh, Sujay Saurabh, Bidhurani Sahay Singh, former secretary Madhu Sharma, Bipin Kumar, Ravi Roy, Vijay Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Mohit Srivastava, Shikha Sonia, and Sakshi Gupta were present on the occasion.
