Patna: Under the joint auspices of the Bihar Football Association and PSFA, the Golden Baby League Football, the PSFA Blue Cubs Football Tournament began at Veer Kunwar Singh Park Football Ground here on Saturday.
The tournament was inaugurated by chief guest Shyam Bihari Meena (Director, SC/ST Welfare Department, Government of Bihar) and guest of honour Syed Imtiaz Hussain, Secretary of the Bihar Football Association.
On this occasion, many dignitaries, including Patna Football Association Secretary Manoj Kumar, NIS Coach Nand Kishore Prasad, Bihar Football Association Referee Head Satyendra Kumar, former Santosh Trophy player SK Majumdar, Naushad Alam, Sanjay Dayal, and Coach Prashant Kumar, were present. Everyone was welcomed by Pankaj Somvanshi of PSFA.
A total of 8 matches were played on Saturday.
In the boys category, St. Michael’s defeated PSFA 2-1, DPS Super Squad defeated LVS Stars 4-0, Turf Arena defeated LVS Akash 5-0.
In the girls’ category, St. Michael’s A defeated LVS A 2-0. The DPS A vs LBSB match ended in a 0-0 draw.
