Patna: Piyush Kumar Singh (103 runs, 113 balls, 8 fours, 3 sixes) scored a brilliant century, Shashim Rathore (4 wickets) and Rahul Rathore (3 wickets) as PESU defeated Panchsheel Cricket Club by a huge margin of 119 runs in the Patna District Senior Division Cricket (PDCA) League organised by ad-hoc committee Urja Stadium here on Friday.
Piyush Kumar Singh, who was adjudged the player of the match, scored his first century of this season. League covener Rajesh Kumar gave away the man of the match award to Piyush Kumar Singh.
Batting first after winning the toss, PESU scored 228 runs losing all wickets in 39.4 overs thanks to Piyush Kumar Singh’s century. Piyush Kumar Singh scored 103 runs in 113 balls with the help of 8 fours and 3 sixes.
In reply, Panchsheel were all out for just 109 runs in 32.5 overs in front of excellent bowling by Shashim Rathore and Rahul Rathore. Shashim Rathore took four wickets for 37 runs and Rahul Rathore took three wickets for 14 runs.
