Patna: Thanks to Abhinav Singh’s 3 wickets, Vishal Kumar (60 runs) and Parth (62 runs not out), Patna tasted victory in the Randhir Verma Under-19 Cricket Tournament. Patna defeated Saran by seven wickets.
This is the first win in three matches for the Patna team playing in the Patliputra zone, while this is the second consecutive defeat for the Saran team.
In this match played at the local Moinul Haq Stadium, Saran won the toss and batting first scored 214 runs after losing all the wickets in 49.2 overs. For Saran, Chandan Kumar played an inning of 58 runs in 80 balls with the help of seven fours and one six. Rohit Pandey scored 36 runs and Sumit Raj scored 20 not out.
