Patna emerge champs at Bihar State Sub Junior Boys Kabaddi Championship

Patna: Patna won the title of the 21st Bihar State Sub Junior Boys Kabaddi Championship held on Monday at Rani, Bachhwara, hosted by Samastipur District Kabaddi Association under the banner of Bihar State Kabaddi Association. Patna defeated Samastipur 45-29 in the final. In this championship, Samastipur became the runners up while Bihar State Sports Authority and Lakhisarai took the third place.

In the semi-finals played before this, Patna defeated Bihar State Sports Authority by 59-28 and Samastipur defeated Lakhisarai by 32-31 to enter the final.

In the quarterfinals, Patna defeated Munger 49-13, Bihar State Sports Authority defeated Nalanda 33-16, Lakhisarai defeated Kaimur 39-27 and Samastipur defeated Nawada 41-38 to enter the semi-finals.

The players were awarded by BDO Abhishek Raj, CO Deepak Kumar, Bihar State Kabaddi Association Secretary Kumar Vijay Singh. On this occasion, many dignitaries including Referee Board Chairman Anand Shankar Tiwari, International Referee Rana Ranjit Singh, Shyamanandan Singh alias Panna Lal, Jaishankar Chaudhary, Rajesh Kumar, selector Bhavesh Kumar, Abhinav Kumar were present. Organizing Secretary Rajeev Kumar welcomed the guests and prposed a vote of thanks.
