Patna: Patna emerged victorious in the 50th Golden Jubilee State Level Senior Men’s Kabaddi Championship, clinching the title with a commanding 50-30 win over Begusarai in the final. The match was held at Mahatma Gandhi High School, Bihat, Begusarai. Sagar delivered an outstanding performance for the Patna team, significantly contributing to their victory.
In the semi-finals, Begusarai secured a 33-26 win against Lakhisarai, while Patna defeated Buxar decisively, with a scoreline of 49-25, earning their place in the final.
The players were honoured by the chief guest, Begusarai Municipal Corporation Mayor Pinky Devi, along with dignitaries such as Bihar State Kabaddi Association Chairman Kumar Vijay Singh, District Art Culture Officer Shyam Kumar Sahni, Begusarai District Kabaddi Association Chief Patron Upendra Prasad Singh, former Legislative Councillor Bhumipal Rai, former Mayor Sanjay Kumar, Sugendra Babu, Barauni CO Surajkant, Samho Akaha Kurha CO Naveen Kumar, Neo Carbon Manager Jitendra Kumar, and Deputy Chief Councillor Rishikesh Kumar.
The final match was officiated by chief referee Shiv Shankar, assisted by umpires Manu Jha, Arun Kumar, Gauri Shankar, Amit Kumar, Himanshu Kumar, Hrithik Kumar, and Anand Kumar. Dr Kundan Kumar conducted the stage proceedings.
On this occasion, Organising Committee President Pramod Singh, Chairman Shyam Nandan Singh Pannalal, Vice-President Sunil Kumar, and members Rajesh Kumar Tuna, Rajkumar Raju, Sanjay Kumar, and Pawan Kumar were present, encouraging the players and contributing to the event’s success.
