Patna: The Patliputra University Inter College Ball Badminton Tournament kicked off today at Jagat Narayan Lal College in Khagaul, Patna. In the tournament’s opening match, Rest of College emerged victorious over A.N. College, winning with scores of 35-29 and 35-30. Players Rahul, Kundan, Prashant, and Monu from Rest of College, as well as Rohit and Satyam from A.N. College, showcased impressive performances.
Teams from several colleges, including Shri Ram Narayan College Barh, R.R.S. College Mokama, A.N. College Patna, Tapendu Institute of Higher Education Danapur, College of Commerce Patna, RPS College Patna, TPS College Patna, and Guru Govind Singh College Patna Sahib, are competing in this two-day inter-college tournament.
The tournament was formally inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Madhu Prabha Singh, Principal of Jagat Narayan Lal College, who commenced the event by breaking a coconut and introducing herself to the players. Present at the event were Gouri Shankar, Secretary of the Bihar Ball Badminton Association; Dr SS Imam, College Sports Incharge; members of the Sports Committee, including Dr Shubhangi Tripathi, Dr Shashikant Prasad, and Dr GN Kumar; as well as Technical Officer-cum-Selector Deepak Singh Kashyap, Rakesh Ranjan, Satish Kumar, Badal Kumar, and numerous sports enthusiasts.
