Discussion About Getting Closer to RJD
By Vishwapati
Patna: Union Minister Pashupati Paras, who is upset about seat sharing in the Bihar NDA for the Lok Sabha polls, has resigned from the ministry. “I served NDA with utmost honesty and loyalty. “Injustice was done to me and the party, so I resigned today from the Union Council of Ministers,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has welcomed his resignation. Lalu Prasad stated that there is a space for him in the Grand Alliance.
Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) chief Pashupati Kumar Paras stated, “I have submitted my resignation; I served the NDA with great honesty and loyalty.”
“Even today, I am grateful to Prime Minister Modi, but injustice was done to me and the party, thus I resign from the Union Council of Ministers. “I will notify you of the next steps after speaking with party officials,” he stated.
It is worth noting that Pashupati Paras has received no seats in the NDA’s Bihar seat distribution.
Pashupati Paras was also upset that no prominent BJP leader approached him prior to the announcement of seat sharing, whereas Chirag Paswan spoke with Amit Shah and JP Nadda. Pashupati, who has been in contact with the INDIA Alliance since quitting from the Union Cabinet, arrived in Patna this evening for a meeting with RJD supremo Lalu Yadav.
On Monday, the NDA undertook seat sharing, and Paras’ party was not allocated a single seat. Chirag Paswan’s LJP (Ram Vilas) got the seats that should have gone to his party. Two of his party’s MPs, Veena Devi and Mehboob Ali Kaiser, have left the party to join Chirag, while Nawada MP Chandan Kumar and Paras’ nephew Prince Raj remain with Paras, who are no longer part of the NDA. Amidst his party’s political dilemma, Paras is now left with only one political option: align with Lalu Yadav. To save his party, Paras can make a major announcement within the next one or two days.
