Pankaj Memorial Master Cricket Tournament from November 2

Jamshedpur: The First Over 60’s Pankaj Memorial Master Cricket Tournament is going to be conducted in Jamshedpur from November 2 to November 4. This is a Veteran India Cricket Foundation (VCI) registered tournament. This is the new initiative by VCI in India for retired cricketers in Over 60’s.

Indian cricketers Rajesh Chauhan, Arun Lal, and Surinder Khanna will be the observers of the tournament. Kirti Azad, winning team member of the 1983 World Cup, is playing in the tournament.

The matches will be of 40 overs each side, and they will be played with Pink Cricket Ball in Keenan Stadium and Tata Motors Cricket Ground as per league basis. The winner of the tournament will be decided as per the net run rate. No final match will be played.

Four teams have been formed as per registration and players and are ready to enjoy the game and perform once again in the field of cricket.

Four teams have been declared.

1. Sixties GIANTS –
Captain Naresh Shenoy (Mumbai) & Dr. Aadil Chagla as Vice captain (Mumbai), Yashwant Duduskar, Sunil Joshi, Emmanuel Benjamin, Anant Narale, Avinash Benke, Shishir Bhope, Peter Smith, Vidyadhar Pednekar (Wicket keeper), S. Fernandes and Nitesh Gundecha (Wicket keeper)

2. Sixties STRANGERS –
Captain Ramaseshan Neelakantan (Chennai) & Padmanabhan S as Vice-captain (Mumbai). Padmanabhan, Md. Iqbal Siddiqui, Ratan Sharma, Dr. Sunil Wagh (wicket keeper), Ravindra Khadye, Sanjay Ranjan Sinha, Asit Sahay, Hemachandran Nair, Sam David, Dr. Manoj Khanna and dr. Surinder Kr Bajaj.

3. Sixties ROYALS –
Captain Rajsekhar Raman (Chennai) & Rajgoapla Naidu as Vice-captain (Bangalore), Anil Dixit (Wicket Keeper), Chandrasekhar, P K Raman, S R Jandhyala, Raghavan, Ravi Shankar, Subramanya Raju, R. Bambawale, Jayprakash B S and Udaya Kumar

4. Sixties HEROES –
Captain Avinash Kumar (Jharkhand) & Pradeep Godbole as Vice-captain (Mumbai), Kirti Azad, Devki Nandan Das (wicket keeper), Sanjay Beri, Mario Fernandes, Subhash Chatterjee, Md. Mannan Siddiqui, Virendra Patel, Rajinder Bhoomla, Ranjan Kumar and Kamlendu Mishra.
