Patna: Open Mind A Birla School, Danapur, hosted its vibrant annual festival, celebrating the achievements of its young athletes who excelled in various sports competitions. Students who brought laurels to the school by winning medals in CBSE cluster tournaments were honoured during the event.
Among the medal winners, Zayed Anjar (Class 3C) was felicitated for securing a silver medal in the Patna District Gymnastics Competition. Athrab Vareniyam (Class 1C) and Aarush Sharma (Class 4B) were applauded for their bronze medals.
Additionally, students who achieved success in the CBSE Judo Championship held in Giridih, including Aradhya Sharma, Sohan Kumar, Shwetank, Shreya Singh, Amit Kumar, Savya Rai, Kavya Singh, and Ranveer Kumar, were recognised and encouraged by the dignitaries present.
Dignitaries Grace the Event
The event was inaugurated by Patna University Vice Chancellor Ajay Kumar Singh, Bihar Players Association President Mrityunjay Tiwari, and school director Aman Kumar, who lit the ceremonial lamp and released balloons. School principal Paljinder Pal Singh welcomed the guests with bouquets, shawls, and mementos.

The programme commenced with a delightful welcome song by the students, followed by a series of captivating performances. Highlights included:
- A tribute to Indian sports legends Major Dhyanchand and Milkha Singh through dramatic presentations.
- Group and solo dances that enthralled the audience.
- Thought-provoking plays and skits on themes such as environmental conservation, Hindu-Muslim unity, patriotism, and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.
- Mesmerising demonstrations of yoga and gymnastics, which received resounding applause from the audience.
The event, themed “Unique India”, celebrated the spirit of unity, cultural diversity, and social responsibility, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.
