Patna: Om XI FC and Junior Shukla FC won their respective matches played on Thursday in the Rekha Devi Patna District Junior Division Football League at the Sanjay Gandhi Stadium.
The first match was played between Om XI FC vs Gulzarbagh FC. The first half ended in a 0-0 draw. As soon as the second half started, Om XI’s Vishnu Kumar (49th minute) scored a goal to give his team a 1-0 lead, which remained intact the end. Vishnu Kumar was awarded the player of the match award by referee Amarjeet Kumar. The referees for this match were Sunil Kumar, Vinod Prasad, Kishan Kumar, Mithilesh Kumar.
The second match was played between PYFC and Junior Shukla FC. The first half was goalless. In the second half, Junior Shukla FC’s Ravi (51st minute) scored a goal to give his team a 1-0 win. The player of the match award was given to Ravi by Shyam Babu Rai, president of Gardanibagh Athletic Club. Nishant Raj and Abhay Raj of PYFC were shown yellow cards by the referee Mithilesh Kumar.
Patna Football Association secretary Manoj Kumar told that no match will be played on April 7. The matches will be held as per the schedule announced on April 8.
