Lucknow: With the aim of strengthening the tourism sector of Uttar Pradesh at the global level, the Yogi government is gearing up to promote Uttar Pradesh as a brand and a favorable tourist destination in the Tourism Expo to be organized from November 6 to 9 at the World Travel Market in London.
As per the intention of CM Yogi, a detailed action plan has been prepared for this. Under this, the Tourism Department will set up a pavilion in an area of 52 square meters in the Tourism Expo in London. An agency will be appointed by the Tourism Department for the establishment and efficient operation of this pavilion. An e-bidding process was started for the agency through e-tender portal on October 17 and interested agencies can apply till October 26, after which the selected agency will be given the responsibility of running the program smoothly.
UP’s spiritual and historical heritage will be showcased
As per the intention of CM Yogi, the Tourism Department is focusing most on promoting spiritual and historical heritage sites of Uttar Pradesh in the Tourism Expo and the theme of the pavilion set up in Uttar Pradesh will be inspired by these parameters. Moreover, the Tourism Department of Uttar Pradesh will display brochures and booklets related to all of the state’s heritage and famous tourist destinations at the Expo.
In this pavilion, Uttar Pradesh’s geographical, spiritual, and historical heritage will be presented, while highlighting the positive changes that have occurred in the state during Yogi’s government, particularly in terms of industry, economy, law and order, good governance, standard of living, infrastructure growth, and ease of doing business.
Work of stall installation at Tourism Expo will be done according to the rulebook
The Tourism Department has invited applications from agencies to participate in the e-tendering process for the setting up of the pavilion in the Tourism Expo. For this e-tender, a tender fee of 5,000 rupees and an 18% Goods and Services Tax (GST) have been specified. Additionally, an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs 2 lakh has been set. All the tendering procedures will be carried out as per the regulations of the Tourism Department and the rulebook of the Uttar Pradesh government.
UP’s pavilion will be set up in 52 square meter area
A pavilion of Uttar Pradesh will be set up in a designated 52-square meter area in the London World Travel Market through this tendering process. Additionally, the agency awarded the work will be responsible for the design, fabrication, setup, installation, and dismantling of this pavilion.
Moreover, the agency will have to fulfill various tasks related to the pavilion, including setting up a VVIP lounge, coffee vending machines, LED display screens, glass showcases, meeting tables, light beams, power sockets, LED lights, needle punch carpet, dustbins, chairs selection, and a seating area of 45 square meters.
