Nawada, Begusarai, Aurngabad, Madhubani, Jamui score victories in BCA Inter District Cricket

Patna: Nawada defeated Sheikhpura, Begusarai defeated Saharsa, Aurangabad defeated Buxar, Madhubani defeated Sheohar and Jamui defeated Munger in the BCA Inter District Cricket Tournament at different venues of Bihar on Wednesday.

Nawada beat Sheikhpura by 49 runs in Magadh Zone match at Moinul Haq Stadium. Sheikhpura won the toss and invited Nawada to bat. Nawada were for 157 runs in 41.3 overs. For Nawada, Pramod contributed 40 runs, Kundan contributed 33 runs and Nitish contributed 28 runs. Md Sattar took 3 wickets for Sheikhpura, Nawaz, Jatin and Sonu took two wickets each.

In reply Sheikhpura scored  108 runs in 26.3 overs. Amarjit made 36 runs, Hemant scored 19 runs and Aman made 17 runs. For Nawada, Hrithik bowled brilliantly taking 7 wickets, while Pramod got 3 wickets.

Begusarai beat Saharsa by 96 runs

Begusarai: Begusarai defeated Saharsa by 96 runs at Barauni Refinery Stadium. Batting first, Begusarai set a target of 357 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. Nishit scored 150 runs and Murari scored 81 runs for Begusarai.  Sachin got 2 wickets for Saharsa.

In reply Saharsa scored 260 runs losing 9 wickets. For Saharsa, Aniket scored 121 runs and Zafar Imam scored 60 runs, while for Begusarai, Sarabjeet got 3 wickets and Imtiaz got 2 wickets. Nishit of Begusarai was declared man of the match.

Madhubani beat Sheohar by 41 runs

Darbhanga: Madhubani defeated Sheohar by 41 runs. Madhubani scored 209 runs for 8 wickets in 45 overs. Madhubani’s middle-order batsman Ayush Anand scored an unbeaten 51 with the help of 7 fours while scoring a brilliant half-century in 38 balls. Apart from this, opener Ayush Aryan played a patient inning of 44 runs in 86 balls with the help of 4 fours and one six. Ankit Mishra scored 33, Utkarsh Bhaskar scored 22 and Abhinav also scored 18 runs. Sheohar’s Krishna Kumar took 5 wickets.

In reply, Sheohar were all out for 168 runs in 33.4 overs. Gaurav scored a brilliant 91 runs in 85 balls with the help of 9 fours and 1 six. Apart from this, Shivam contributed 25, Krishna Kumar 23 and Divya Sagar contributed 14 runs. Madhubani’s Vikas Jha took 5 wickets and Ayush Anand took 4 wickets.

Aurangabad beat Buxar

Bhabhua: Aurangabad beat Buxar by 4 wickets in their last match at Jagjivan Stadium. Batting first Buxar scored 237 runs thanks to Nikhil’s fiery half-century and Sourav’s patient innings. Nikhil batting brilliantly for Buxar scored 96 runs in just 62 balls, including 18 fours and 1 six, while Sourav scored 30 runs off 69 balls, including 3 fours.

Aurangabad’s off spinner Ankush got 4 wickets and Karan got 2 wickets. In reply, Aurangabad achieved the target easily by scoring 239 runs in 29.2 overs. Harshraj Puru made 30 runs and  Karan Raj scored 85 runs in just 40 balls with 6 fours and 6 sixes. Ravindra Singh scored 53 runs in 46 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. For Buxar, Amit Kumar and Nikhil got two wickets each.

Katihar beat Madhepura

Purnia: Batting first, Katihar scored 152 runs losing all wickets in 42.1 overs. For Katihar, Hazrat Ali scored 50 runs in 63 balls with the help of 9 fours and Ashwini Kumar scored 32 runs in 51 balls with the help of 6 fours. Azam Akhtar, Dheeraj Kumar Thakur, Sagar Kumar and Jishu Qureshi got two wickets each. Chasing the target of 153 runs, Madhepura were all out for 119 runs .

For Madhepura, Captain Ehsan scored 32 runs in 79 balls with the help of 3 fours and 1 six and Prashant Kumar scored 18 runs in 25 balls with the help of two fours.  Ashwani took for wickets.

Jamui beat Munger

Bhagalpur: Jamui defeated Munger by four wickets. Batting first, Munger scored  189 runs in 48.04 overs. Gulrej scored 64 runs for Munger. Anand Kumar scored 28 runs while Prashant Kumar scored 19 runs. Jamui’s Badal took 3 wickets.

In reply, Jamui scored 190 runs for 6 wickets in 48.4 overs. For Jamui, Rahul contributed 47 runs, Mayank 38, Ravi Sharma 29 and Kundan Gupta contributed 23 runs. Munger’s Gulrej, Govind and Anand took two wickets each.
