Patna: In the ongoing Indradev Rai Memorial Cricket Tournament at the Sanjay Gandhi Stadium, organised under the aegis of Kumar Club, National AC secured a commanding 8-wicket victory against Youth Union Club on Sunday, 5 January.
Youth Union Club won the toss and opted to bat first, scoring 75 runs before being dismissed in 16.3 overs. Sahil Kumar top-scored with 16 runs, while Advya Vardhan from National AC claimed 2 wickets for 18 runs.
In response, National AC chased down the target comfortably, scoring 78 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in just 9.5 overs. Ravi Raj played a steady knock of 29 runs, while Deepu Kumar contributed 28 runs. Deepu Kumar’s performance earned him the Player of the Match award, presented by Ashok Kumar Sinha, convener of the organising committee.
The first semi-final, featuring Blaze CC and Anisabad CC, will take place on Monday, 6 January.
