Bettiah: Monarch Cricket Club and Dynamic Cricket Club won their respective matches played on Monday under the West Champaran District Cricket Division League. In the first match, Monarch Cricket Club defeated Vidyarthi Cricket Club by 137 runs while Dynamic Cricket Club defeated Firoz XI by two wickets.
First match
After winning the toss, Monarch captain decided to bat first. The start was not good and three wickets fell in quick succession but Akash and Jai Kumar, who came to play in the middle, took charge of the innings. Akash scored 33 runs and Jai Kumar scored 36 runs.
Abhishek Kumar Singh, who came to play at number 10, batted brilliantly and scored 43 runs and Keshu scored 23 runs. With the collective efforts of these four batsmen, the team scored 203 runs.
On behalf of Vidyarthi Club, Ikram bowled brilliantly and took 4 wickets for 47 runs in eight overs. Aditya and Jasdeep took both wickets.
In reply, the Vidyarthi Cricket Club team could not do anything special. In front of Abhishek’s five wickets and Aftab’s three wickets, the entire team collapsed for 66 runs. Monarch Cricket Club won the match by 137 runs.
Second match
The second match was played between Firoz XI Bettiah vs Dynamic Cricket Club Bettiah. Firoz XI captain won the toss and decided to bat first. The start was not good. Their strong opening batsman Dinesh Kumar was out without opening the account.
Badal, who came to bat at number three, contributed 36 runs, Chandrakant, who came to bat at number five, contributed 42 runs, Jasveer, who came to bat on 7th, contributed 30 runs. With the collective efforts of all of them, Firoz XI scored 159 runs.
While bowling for Dynamic Cricket Club, Fazal Sahne took three wickets, Arvind took two and Ghiyasuddin took three wickets.
In reply, Dynamic’s team made a good start with Suman scoring 37 runs. Ayush Kashyap scored 27 runs, Fazal scored 19 and Prabhat scored 36 not out. Dynamic Cricket Club won this match by two wickets. While bowling for Firoz XI, Abhishek took two wickets, Chandrakant took three, Abhinandan took one wicket and Kabir took one wicket.
