Patna: Medhansh Sharma (Katihar), Jayanti Singh (Begusarai), Amul Kumar (Patna), Sejal Singh (Muzaffarpur), Mohammad Asadullah (Munger) and Tanvi Arya (Patna) claimed the titles in different categories of Li Ning Bihar State Bolt Gold Mini (Under-7, 9, 11) Badminton Championships ended at Rajendranagar Physical College courts.
In Boys Under-7 category, Medhansh Sharma won the title by defeating Pratyush Varga of Khagaria. Devansh Kunj (Katihar) and Satwik Sijar (Gaya) stood third in this category.
In Girls Under-7 category, Jayanti Singh of Begusarai won the title by defeating Patna Arya Raj. Vanshika Maheshwari of Patna and Arju Verma of Nalanda stood third.
In Boys Under-9 section, Amul Kumar (Patna) bagged the title by defeating Sambhav Suman of Muzaffarpur. Ayush Kumar Jha of Muzaffarpur and Devansh Singh of Patna came third.
In Girls Under-9, Sejal Singh won the title by defeating Akanksha Aasi Singh of Patna. Ojasvita Shree of Muzaffarpur and Anushka Kumari of Khagaria came third.
In Boys Under-11 section, Asadullah of Munger defeated Himanshu Kumar of Kaimur to become the champion. Vishwas of Lakhisarai and Amul Kumar of Patna came third.
In Girls Under-11, Tanvi Arya of Patna won the title by defeating Shivangi Kumari of Kaimur. Parineeta Randhir of Khagaria and Aaradhya Pihu of Bhagalpur came third.
Chief guest Pankaj Kumar Raj, director cum secretary Bihar State Sports Authority, special guest Captain Kunj Bihari (NCC), secretary of Bihar Badminton Association KN Jaiswal, senior Lawyer of Patna High Court Nivedita, secretary of Katihar Badminton Association Sanjeev Singh gave away the prizes. Upendra Kumar Sinha, chairman, Patna District Badminton Association welcomed the guests while the vote of thanks was proposed by Kumar Sandeep, convener of Patna District Badminton Association. Many dignitaries including senior badminton players Nilesh Kumar Sinha, Shafaq Nawab Khan and others were present on the occasion.
