Manipur emerge champs, Bihar finish third in Junior National Wushu

Patna: Manipur emerged overall champions collecting 86 points in 22nd Junior National Wushu Championship on the concluding day at Patliputra Sports Complex on Friday.

Taolu event:

First place Manipur, (6 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals with total 42 points),
Second place SAI (5 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals with a total of 30 marks),
Third place Bihar (4 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals with a total of 26 points),

Sanshou event:

First place Haryana (7 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals with a total of 45 points),
Second place Rajasthan (4 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze medals with a total of 39 points),
Third place Jammu and Kashmir (2 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals with a total of 26 points).

In all Bihar won 05 gold, 03 silver and 14 bronze medals and stood third.

The chief guest of the closing ceremony was Bihar art, culture and youth department minister Jitendra Kumar Rai. The guests of honour were DG Bihar Bihar State Sports Authority Raveendran Sankaran, and Pankaj Raj, secretary, Bihar State Sports Authority.

Wushu Association of India office-bearers Suhail Ahmed, P.N. Azad, Shambhu Seth, president of Bihar Wushu Assoictaion Amulya Kumar Singh and secretary Suman Mishra were present on the occasion.
